Alarm Industry Remote Working – Featured in SP&T News (Video)

Alarm Industry Remote Working – With the alarm and security industry continuing to adapt to remote working due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, DICE Corporation’s services have been featured in a number of news outlets, including SP&T News, which services installers, dealers, and integrators across Canada.

In an interview with journalist Alanna Fairey, DICE Corporation executive vice president Avi Lupo discussed the many challenges the industry is facing, with liability being a main concern. He also addressed how DICE’s all-in-one platform and cloud services are setting users up for success with remote working.

“It’s not just monitoring – it is everything that has to do with the company, including service and inventory,” Lupo said. Fairey also noted that with a number of Canadian clients, DICE has been helping central stations get alarm signals into their network and that although more people are moving their information to the cloud, they did not have a PBX automation platform set up in their centers.

“More and more companies were already pushing for the services that we offer, but now the phones are ringing off the hook and people want to monitor remotely from their house,” DICE Corporation president and CEO Cliff Dice told Fairey. “They want their operators at home and they don’t want them in one building because of the pandemic.”

According to Dice, getting operators set up with a web application PBX module at home is a simple process. “They can take phone calls, they can make phone calls, and they can get the alarm signal. People are really seeing the benefits of not only cutting costs more efficiently, but also allowing their operators to stay home and get their work done in all departments: alarm centers, service, installation, sales, and accounting.”
