DICE Matrix Connector

This app is found in the Microsoft AppSource store. It allows the following DICE Modules to integrate with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

  • DICE Matrix Recurring

    Recurring services defined within DICE Matrix will generate customer invoice within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business central. This allows recurring services to be associated with the site location that they are for, easy modification of those services, improved RMR reporting with reconciliation reporting.

  • DICE Matrix Caller Assistance

    Allows for the viewing of accounting information stored in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and associated with a DICE Customer such as Invoices, payment history, notes and more.

  • DICE Matrix Service

    As work is completed by the technician through the DICE Mobile apps, the invoice is generated and sent to the customer though Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

  • DICE Matrix Sales

    Inventory used with sales proposals is pulled from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central inventory tables.

  • DICE Matrix Dealer Billing

    The Dealer Billing module will create the same reports as normal however the invoice to the dealer will be generated and sent through Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

  • DICE Web Portals

    The Web Portal allows customers to log in, see their invoices, make payments, setup auto debit information for automated payments, and more.

 

DICE API menu options

Once the DICE Matrix Connector Extension has been installed, a new set of menu options will be made available within Business Central.

This page (Figure 1) will show the current license status of the connector. DICE Matrix will need to be supplied with the Tenant ID displayed on this page. The connector will be licensed indefinitely when installed to a sandbox environment. When installed in production, the DICE Matrix system will automatically advance the licensing.

For debug purposes, this page provides the current status of an invoice from DICE Matrix.

The page shows invoices that were created, posted, if it was emailed on posting, and what the error was if the posting process failed.

When invoices are posted from DICE Matrix, the process is typically done with a range of invoices.

This page displays the submitted posting requests, what the current status of the request is, when the request was submitted, and when the request completed.

With invoices generated in batches, if there was an issue with the batch they may need to be deleted instead of posted.

Invoice Utility

This page was created should an invoice get stuck in a status that Business Central doesn’t approve of.

If somehow an invoice was created from DICE Matrix that matched to a posted invoice in Business Central, the unposted version of the invoice may need to be deleted using this utility. If the invoice was marked for posting and then the posting process failed, this utility could reset the posting flag so the proper adjustments could be made, and the posting process ran again.
